Receiving a nomination is a huge achievement, but it’s not the final step. The nomination allows you to apply for Permanent Residence to the federal government (IRCC).

If you are in an Express Entry-aligned stream: You will receive an additional 600 CRS points, which virtually guarantees you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in the next Express Entry draw.
If you are in a non-Express Entry stream: You will submit a separate paper-based or online application for permanent residence to IRCC.
